FlyQuest, Dignitas win play-in round matches at 2025 Split 2
FlyQuest and Dignitas won critical matches on Saturday, the first of two days of cross-group battles in the League of Leagues LTA North 2025 Split 2 in Los Angeles.
Eight teams advanced from the group phase last weekend to the play-in this weekend, which will determine the six teams that will advance to the best-of-five, double-elimination playoffs on May 25-June 15.
In cross-group play, each team plays a team from the other group who finished in the same position in the Group A and B standings. Teams that finished first and second in each group play to determine the top four seeds. Teams that finished third and fourth in each group play elimination matches.
In the match for first-place seeding, FlyQuest swept Cloud9 2-0, winning in 25 minutes and 27 minutes on red.
Dignitas defeated LYON 2-1, winning in 41 minutes on red, falling in 31 minutes on red, then winning in 37 minutes on red.
Sunday's schedule features a third-place seeding match between Team Liquid and Shopify Rebellion, and an elimination match between 100 Thieves and Disguised.
The total prize pool is $160,000, with $80,000 going to the winner and $40,000 to the runner-up. The winner also receives entry into the Mid-Season Invitational and the winner and runner-up qualify for the Esports World Cup.
