Fnatic add casle, Independent to CS2 coaching staff
Fnatic Peter "casle" Ardenskjold and Miks "Independent" Silins were named the head coach and assistant coach, respectively, of the Fnatic Counter-Strike 2 team on Saturday.
"With this duo leading the charge, we're excited to see what 2025 has in store for us," Fnatic said on social media.
casle's previous coaching experience includes stints with Astralis and Gaimin Gladiators. The 38-year-old Dane will now take over the role from Jamie "keita" Hall, who was fired on Dec. 12 after three years at the helm.
That move came on the heels of the Counter-Strike 2 team losing three consecutive matches en route to exiting the opening stage of the Perfect World Shanghai Major. Fnatic finished in the 23-24 slot with Imperial Esports.
Fnatic's new-look roster consists of Sweden's Freddy "KRIMZ" Johansson, Denmark's Benjamin "blameF" Bremer, Slovakia's Matus "MATYS" Simko and the Ukraine's Rodion "fear" Smyk and Denys "Burmylov" Buraga.
France's Alexandre "bodyy" Pianaro and Sweden's Tim "nawwk" Jonasson are benched.
The team will take on Spirit on Tuesday in the first round of the Blast Bounty Season 1.
