Former Clemson WR Diondre Overton dies at 26

Former Clemson wide receiver Diondre Overton has died. He was 26.
The school announced Overton's passing on Saturday but did not reveal a cause of death.
Overton helped the Tigers capture national championships in 2016 and 2018. He had 52 receptions for 777 yards and seven touchdowns during his four seasons with the school (2016-19).
"Clemson Football and the entire Clemson Family mourns the passing of Clemson alumnus Diondre Overton," the program wrote on Twitter. "Our thoughts are with his family and friends."

Overton had brief stints with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the CFL and the Vienna Vikings of the European Football League. He spent two seasons with the Philadelphia Stars of the USFL before being selected by the Memphis Showboats in the UFL dispersal draft earlier this year.
