Former Player Dan Hampton Suggests Waterboarding Bears Coaches
Dan Hampton is a Hall of Famer, a former defensive tackle who played for Mike Ditka's Chicago Bears and now spends his days talkin' 'bout the Bears on local pregame and postgame shows. During his latest appearance, Hampton had a cool and chill idea for how to straighten out what's been a disappointing and odd season for the Bears: waterboarding!
Honestly, I'm less concerned about the waterboarding comment than I am about the part where he says that head coach Marc Trestman's latest comments "put the apostrophe" on the season, because, like, what? Anyway, Hampton should probably stop trying to cheekily incorporate current-event buzzwords into his sports takes. It didn't work so well when he went for the Hurricane Katrina metaphor four years ago, and it's not really working now.
