Former Pro Wrestler Wrecks Man Who Allegedly Tried To Threaten Him With BB Gun
Pro wrestler Shad Gaspard, best known for being part of the tag team Cryme Tyme on WWE Raw in the mid-2000s, foiled a poorly planned robbery attempt at a Florida gas station Friday.
Gaspard was shopping at a Valero in Coral Springs when the suspect, Jason Felix, walked in and tried to make the wrestler buy him beer. The conversation quickly turned sour, as Gaspard explained to WSVN:
“This guy comes from the back of the store, and he goes, ‘Yo, man, buy me a beer,’ and I’m like, you know, I didn’t know the guy,” he said. “And I’m like, ‘Yo, man, there’s a better way to approach somebody.’”
According to a police report, Felix then became upset and approached Gaspard. “And so he started coming at me, and then he lifted up his shirt and showed me he had a gun,” Gaspard said.
Felix had a BB gun in his waistband; Gaspard disarmed him. The surveillance video shows Gaspard taking Felix out of the gas station and slamming him to the ground. The wrestler held him until police arrived.
According to the report, Felix was charged one count of armed robbery.
