Former UNC G Seth Trimble commits to Louisville
North Carolina Tar Heels guard Seth Trimble (7) drives to the basket Thursday, March 19, 2026, during the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament first round game against the VCU Rams at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina. Former North Carolina guard Seth Trimble has committed to play for Louisville in the 2026-27 season.
Trimble, who entered the transfer portal in April, confirmed his destination to ESPN on Wednesday.
He joins the Cardinals after a Colorado court ruling gave 2022 high school graduates a fifth year of eligibility.
Trimble did not sign an NBA deal after playing in five Summer League games with the Washington Wizards.
He averaged a career-high 14.0 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 24 games for the Tar Heels last season.
Trimble joins a Louisville roster that includes fellow transfers Flory Bidunga (Kansas) and Jackson Shelstad (Oregon).
