France Score Super Sweet Goal, Are Jumping All Over South Korea

They—dumb people—say that 2-0 is the most dangerous lead in soccer. This is wrong, and it is even wronger when the team leading 2-0 is styling on the other. In the first half of their World Cup round-of-16 match, right now, France are styling on South Korea.

It was 2-0 after eight minutes. The second goal, shown above, is the better one, and one of the prettiest goals of the tournament. French winger Élodie Thomis cut in from the right wing, combined with Eugénie Le Sommer at the top of the box, and walked it into the back of the net.
