Frost bring back F Denisa Krizova in trade with Goldeneyes
Czechia's Denisa Krizova controls the puck at the Adirondack Bank Center in Utica, NY on Friday, April 5, 2024. The Minnesota Frost reacquired Denisa Krizova from the Vancouver Goldeneyes on Thursday in exchange for fellow forward Anna Segedi.
Krizova returns to Minnesota, with which she tallied seven goals and eight assists in 54 games with the Frost over the past two seasons while winning back-to-back PWHL championships.
The 31-year-old Czech Republic native went to Vancouver with the 12th overall pick in the 2025 PWHL expansion draft in June.
"The opportunity to bring back a cornerstone of our championship teams was something we couldn't turn down," Frost general manager Melissa Caruso said. "Denisa's presence on -- and off -- the ice has had a tremendous impact over the last two seasons, and we're thrilled that she's coming back. It comes at a high price -- after watching Anna over the last two weeks we think the world of her and I'm confident she is going to contribute in Vancouver immediately and for a long time."
Segedi, 24, heads to Vancouver to make her PWHL debut following a standout collegiate career at St. Lawrence. The Michigan native tallied 119 points (54 goals, 65 assists) in 164 NCAA games with the Saints.
Minnesota selected Segedi, who represents China internationally, in the third round of the 2025 PWHL Draft.
