FURIA, Team Vitality to meet in IEM Chengdu final
Fans watching the competition at the 2025 Esports World Cup FURIA and Team Vitality will battle for the $125,000 top prize Sunday at the Intel Extreme Masters Chengdu 2025 tournament in China.
FURIA reached the best-of-five grand final at the $300,000 Counter-Strike 2 event with a sweep of Team Falcons on Saturday, while Vitality pulled out a 2-1 victory over MOUZ in the other semifinal.
MOUZ and Falcons will fight for third place in a best-of-three match on Sunday.
FURIA defeated Falcons 13-5 on Inferno and 13-11 on Mirage. Brazilian Yuri "yuurih" Santos led FURIA with 36 kills.
Vitality sandwiched a 16-13 win on Nuke and a 13-10 decision on Inferno around a 13-11 setback on Train. With 63 kills, France's Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut paced Vitality.
