Giants QB Daniel Jones hurts neck late in blowout vs. Dolphins

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones exited Sunday's game against the host Miami Dolphins early in the fourth quarter due to a neck injury.
Jones was sacked by Miami linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel with 12:11 remaining in the game. The hit took Jones by surprise, as it came from his blind side, and his neck cocked back before he was driven to the turf.
New York announced shortly after that Jones would not return.
Tyrod Taylor took over under center for the Giants, who were trailing 31-13 at the time of Jones' departure.
Prior to exiting, Jones completed 14 of 20 passes for 119 yards. He was sacked six times.
Jones entered Sunday with 765 passing yards, two touchdowns and six interceptions through four games this season.
Jones signed a four-year contract worth $160 million during the offseason.
