The deal includes a club option for the 2028 season and was reported hours after San Francisco announced a one-year contract for free agent right-hander Jason Foley.
Houser, 32, split 2025 with the Chicago White Sox and Tampa Bay Rays and went a combined 8-5 with a 3.31 ERA in 21 starts.

Foley, 30, last appeared for the Detroit Tigers in 2024 in a closing role and hade 28 saves in 32 opportunities. He did not pitch in 2025 due to shoulder surgery.
He will make $2 million with the Giants, ESPN reported.
