Guardians place OF Chase DeLauter (ribcage) on 10-day IL

Mandatory Credit: Scott Galvin-Imagn Images The Cleveland Guardians placed rookie outfielder Chase DeLauter on the 10-day injured list with a ribcage fracture and recalled outfielder Kahlil Watson from Triple-A Columbus.
The IL move was made retroactive to Sunday. The injury occurred Saturday when DeLauter crashed into the outfield wall.
After initially making his major league debut in the postseason last year, DeLauter is batting .263 with seven home runs and 34 RBIs in 66 games this season.
Watson, 23, is set to make his major league debut after batting .255 with 12 home runs and 35 RBIs in 56 games at Triple-A this season. Watson is in his sixth minor league season after he was a first-round draft pick (No. 16 overall) by the Miami Marlins in 2021.
