Baseball players are creatures of routine. During yesterday’s game, Joey Votto unveiled a new one: leaning on his bat between pitches.

It reminded me of Infinite Jest’s Mario Incandenza requiring a police lock to prop himself up, but Votto actually answered this question. Sort of.
