John Terry, Clearly Terrified Of Matt Miazga, Is Leaving Chelsea
John Terry is jumping ship from Chelsea this summer after his contract is up. He told reporters after Chelsea’s win over MK Dons in the FA Cup that he’d be taking off from the club he’d been a part of since 1995. Here’s what he said, as transcribed by the BBC:
“Ideally I would have loved to stay, but the club’s moving in a different direction,” he said.
Terry also said he will continue his playing career, but not with another English club.
“I couldn’t play for another Premier League club. It will be elsewhere for sure,” added the former England captain.
“I feel as though I’m in great nick, I’m playing great and I’ve got a couple of years to go. It’ll just be elsewhere.
Hmm. I’m going to read between these lines. Playing great...elsewhere...different direction. Hmm.
Heh.
