Jordan Staal Breaks Leg In Exhibition Game

Exhibition games continue to be the worst, this time injuring Jordan Staal. The Carolina Hurricanes center was pursuing a pass along the boards in Tuesday night's game against the Buffalo Sabres when he was checked, and his right skate got caught on the ice. Staal's leg continued to move, causing the injury. Staal had to be helped off of the ice, and after the game Hurricanes president Ron Francis announced that it was broken.
There is no timetable for when Staal will return to the ice.
