Jung Hoo Lee homers twice as Giants extend Rangers' slide

Jung Hoo Lee had two homers and three RBIs and Logan Webb tossed six shutout innings to lead the San Francisco Giants to a 5-1 victory over the Texas Rangers on Monday in Arlington, Texas.

Lee had three of his team's six hits as San Francisco prevailed after dealing infielder Luis Arraez, outfielder Heliot Ramos and left-hander Robbie Ray prior to the Monday trade deadline.

Webb (7-7) struck out a season-best eight while giving up five hits and one walk for the Giants, who halted a three-game slide.

Ezequiel Duran homered and had four of the Rangers' seven hits. Texas committed a season-high five errors while extending its season-worst losing streak to six games.

Cal Quantrill (4-4) gave up three runs (one earned) and four hits over six innings. He struck out four and walked one.

After Webb left, Keaton Webb permitted one hit in two-thirds of an inning and Sam Hentges pitched 1 1/3 hitless innings. Tristan Beck recorded one out in the ninth but allowed Duran's homer and a walk before Reiver Sanmartin induced Cam Cauley to bounce into a game-ending double play.

The Rangers made two errors in the second inning to help the Giants score twice.

Daniel Susac reached on a two-base fielding error by Duran, the Texas third baseman. Drew Gilbert followed with a single to right, and the ball went under the glove of Brandon Nimmo and toward the wall as Susac scored and Gilbert wound up at third.

Osleivis Basabe hit a sacrifice fly to right to drive in Gilbert.

Lee came up with one out in the third and drilled a 1-1 splitter from Quantrill over the wall in right-center to make it 3-0.

In the eighth, Peyton Gray was on the mound when Lee led off the inning by hitting a first-pitch slider over the wall in right-center.

Texas' Nolan Kingham made his major league debut in the ninth. The 29-year-old right-hander retired the first batter before walking Grant McCray, giving up an infield hit to Christian Koss and walking Nate Furman to load the bases.

Lee then hit a sacrifice fly to center to make it a five-run margin.

Rangers catcher Austin Wynns made two throwing errors and shortstop Corey Seager failed to catch a throw after Gray caught Susac off first and threw to second.
