Mandatory Credit: Charles LeClaire-Imagn Images After a top-10 finish on the DP World Tour which earned him a 2026 PGA Tour card, English golfer Laurie Canter has instead decided to return to LIV Golf next season.
Canter, who competed in LIV's first three seasons from 2022-24 as a member of Gleeks GC and as a league reserve, will compete for what will now be an all-English Majesticks GC team in 2026, LIV announced Monday.
"Joining Majesticks GC is an incredible opportunity to be part of a team that has helped shape LIV Golf from day one," Canter said in a statement. "The league's growth has been remarkable and my experience in the league has led me to become a more complete player and a multiple winner on the DP World Tour. To return to the league with Majesticks GC is a huge honour, and they bring a standard of excellence, ambition, and identity that really resonates with me. I can't wait to get started and contribute to what this team is building."
Canter, 36, finished seventh in the DP World Tour standings this season. He secured his first two wins in nearly a decade the last two seasons, the 2024 European Open and 2025 Bahrain Championship.
He participated in seven PGA Tour tournaments in 2025, missing the cut at four of them and finishing T55 at the U.S. Open at Oakmont. He became the first former LIV golfer to compete in a strictly PGA Tour event at this year's Players Championship. He was eligible since it had been more than a year since his last LIV Golf appearance.
Canter competed in 20 LIV events between 2022-24. His best result was a pair of 11th-place finishes in consecutive 2022 events in Chicago and Bangkok.
Majesticks GC finished 11th out of 13 teams in the 2025 LIV standings. It hasn't finished higher than ninth in any of the first four LIV seasons.
