Has LaVar Ball’s heel act made his son a heel even in Los Angeles, or do wrestling fans in LA not know Lonzo Ball is member of the Lakers? Either way, Lonzo and LaVar Ball were both booed when they appeared on WWE Raw tonight.
LaVar, who was also joined by his son LaMelo, argued with the Miz, took his shirt off and did some karate. Dean Ambrose eventually broke things up.
As with any good WWE celebrity segment, this was incredibly awkward to watch. But it was much easier to watch than that time LaVar joked about hitting Lonzo with a belt.
To wrap things up, someone said “beat that nigga ass” over the microphone as LaVar strutted around the ring. All in all, it was a great night to go to a wrestling show in Los Angeles.
Update (10:53 p.m. ET): WWE emailed a statement to Deadspin, unprompted:
The inappropriate language used by a guest during the ‘Miz TV’ segment was not scripted nor reflects WWE’s values.
