Liquid, Tidebound, PARIVISION advance at FISSURE Universe: Episode 4

Jordan Woodruff Team Liquid, Team Tidebound and PARIVISION advanced to the playoffs of FISSURE Universe: Episode 4 by virtue of their group stage victories Tuesday.
In the set of Round 4 matches pitting 2-1 teams against one another, Liquid swept BetBoom Team 2-0, PARIVISION did the same to Gaimin Gladiators and Tidebound rallied for a 2-1 victory over Team Falcons.
Wildcard, Talon Esports and Night Pulse were knocked out of the tournament by losing in the 1-2 matches.
The $500,000 Dota 2 tournament features a group stage through Wednesday using a modified Swiss system for 16 teams. All matches are best-of-three. The top eight teams advance to the playoffs, and the remaining teams are eliminated.
The playoffs on Thursday through Sunday use a double-elimination bracket. All matches are best-of-three until the grand final, which is best-of-five. The winning team will earn $250,000.
On Tuesday, Liquid defeated BetBoom in 30 minutes and 63 minutes on green. Michal "Nisha" Jankowski of Poland averaged a 12-1.5-14 kills-deaths-assists ratio for Liquid.
PARIVISION eased past Gaimin Gladiators in 35 minutes and 27 minutes, playing on green for both as well. Alan "Satanic" Gallyamov of Russia led PARIVISION with a 13-0-7.5 average K-D-A.
Team Falcons opened their match with a 49-minute victory on red, but Team Tidebound responded with 28- and 47-minute wins on green. On that decisive third map, China's Guo "shiro" Xuanang led Tidebound with nine kills and his four teammates all chipped in at least 12 assists.
In the 1-2 matches, BOOM Esports stayed alive by beating Wildcard in 30 minutes on green and 36 minutes on red. Aurora Gaming swept Talon Esports in 32 minutes and 29 minutes on green. And 1win topped Night Pulse in 39 minutes and 32 minutes on red.
The group stage concludes Wednesday with three do-or-die matches:
