The tour will return to The Club at Steyn City, just north of Johannesburg, after attracting what LIV Golf claimed to be a record-setting crowd for South Africa - more than 100,000 fans during the week-long event. Next year's event will run April 22-25.
"We are proud to welcome LIV Golf back to Steyn City in 2027 as we continue to position South Africa as a premier destination for international sport and entertainment," said Gayton McKenzie, the Minister for Sport, Arts and Culture in South Africa, in a statement.
In the inaugural event, DeChambeau and Rahm finished the 72 holes at 26-under-par 258. DeChambeau needed a birdie at 18 to force the playoff. The duo returned to the 18th tee and DeChambeau scrambled for a par to claim his second straight LIV victory in his final tuneup for The Masters that begins April 9 in Augusta, Ga.
