Look At This Fucking Hoopster: "Isaiah Rider" And "Tyson Chandler" Hang At Rock The Bells
An occasional feature in which we spotlight the ridiculous trend of recontextualized basketball jerseys. Today: Isaiah "Don't Call Me J.R." Rider and Tyson Chandler.
The Tyson Chandler one is getting a pass. Chandler went to Dominguez in LA, and Clippers fans are probably grateful he was traded for Elton Brand. Any other player, that's a hoopster. Still, the Rider is a doozy.
Player: Isaiah Rider Team: Minnesota Timberwolves Ubiquity: Low Scene: Rock the Bells in Los Angeles, a sort of Lollapalooza for rap. Unnecessarily Decimaled Score Out Of 10: 7.2 Analysis: I mean, just look at this. We have: a white kid wearing the jersey of a huge pot smoker at a music festival that was most likely overflowing with pot—Snoop Dogg performed "Doggystyle" in its entirety, dammit—and he's making that hand motion? In the air? In such a fashion so as to suggest he does not care? Verdict: Regular-sized fucking hoopster
