LYON breeze past FURIA, advance at Mid-Season Invitational

LYON coasted to a 3-0 sweep of FURIA on Saturday to advance to Round 2 in the upper bracket of the League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational in Daejeon, South Korea.

LYON recorded a 44-minute win on red and 38- and 28-minute victories on blue. Kacper "Inspired" Sloma of Poland paced the victors with a 18-7-36 kills-deaths-assists ratio.

LYON advanced to face Bilibili Gaming, who posted a 3-2 victory over T1.

T1 started fast with a 41-minute win on blue before Bilibili Gaming responded with a 29-minute victory on blue and 34-minute win on red. T1 answered with a 33-minute win on red, however Bilibili Gaming ended the match with a 27-minute triumph on red.

Zhuo "Knight" Ding of China powered Bilibili Gaming with a 25-10-28 kills-deaths-assists ratio.

All matches are best-of-five in the $2 million tournament, which concludes on July 12 with a top prize of $500,000. The winner of the grand final also qualifies for this fall's 2026 World Championship.
