Man City Win Premier League After West Brom Beat Man United

It was a memorable 3-2 win in the Manchester derby; it wouldn’t stop City from winning the league, but it was at least a nice moment.
Today, United followed up its memorable performance with this: A 1-0 loss to West Bromwich Albion, the last-placed team in the table, that clinched the Premier League for City. Whoops!
After the win, Man City went live on Twitter as Vincent Kompany called his teammates to celebrate.
City was on the cusp of the title after beating Tottenham 3-1 yesterday. It looked like City would get to clinch at home next weekend, as United were heavy favorites against West Brom. But a goal by Jay Rodriguez in the 73rd minute gave West Brom the 1-0 win, and so instead City clinched the league at Old Trafford instead — without even having to be there!
Man City has been knocked out of the FA Cup and Champions League, so fans will have to settle for an impressive Premier League campaign and a League Cup title in the 2017-18 season.
The league title is City’s fifth in the top flight of England. City were also champions in 1936-37, 1967-68, 2011-12 and 2013-14.
