Maple Leafs re-sign D Troy Stecher to 2-year deal

The deal is worth an average annual value of $1.35 million, The Athletic reported.
Stecher, 32, scored three goals and had 11 assists (14 points) in 58 games with Toronto last season.
He has played 624 NHL games with the Vancouver Canucks (2016-20), Detroit Red Wings (2020-22, Los Angeles Kings (2022), Arizona Coyotes (2022-23, 2023-24), Calgary Flames (2023), Edmonton Oilers (2024-26) and Toronto (2026). He has 25 career goals and 106 assists (131 points) in the regular season to go along with four goals and three assists in 29 Stanley Cup playoff games.
Stecher, from Richmond, B.C., represented his homeland in the 2019 and 2021 IIHF World Hockey Championships, winning silver and gold, respectively.
