Rodriguez was listed to bat second in the team's lineup on Sunday, one day after he needed to be helped off the field in an 8-6 setback to the Angels.
The two-time All-Star was hit by batter Randy Arozarena's 98.1 mph one-hopper off the bone above his right ankle while attempting to steal third base. X-rays were negative.
"There's a high chance that I should be in the lineup (on Sunday)," Rodriguez told reporters after the game. "So just seeing how it reacts through the night and like how I wake up tomorrow. But I feel very positive that tomorrow will be a better day."
Rodriguez, 24, is batting .254 with 10 home runs and 33 RBIs in 62 games this season.
