Mariners reinstate RHP Logan Evans (elbow) from IL

The Seattle Mariners reinstated right-hander Logan Evans from the injured list and optioned right-hander Casey Legumina to the Arizona Complex League.

Evans, 24, has been on the injured list since Aug. 15 with right elbow inflammation. The rookie was 6-5 with a 4.37 ERA in 15 starts for Seattle after making his major league debut April 27.


Legumina, 28, is 4-6 with a 5.62 ERA in 48 appearances (one start) for the Mariners this season. In three seasons with the Cincinnati Reds (2023-24) and Mariners, he is 5-6 with a 6.03 ERA in 65 appearances (one start).

The American League West champion Mariners are set to appear in the playoffs for just the second time since 2002.
