Mariners-Rockies postponed, rescheduled as part of Sunday doubleheader
The Seattle Mariners' interleague matchup Friday in Denver against the Colorado Rockies was postponed because of inclement weather and rescheduled as part of a split doubleheader Sunday.
The clubs were scheduled to start a three-game series Friday, but instead, weather permitting, they will play a single game Saturday with the Sunday games scheduled for 1:10 p.m. and 6:10 p.m. local time with separate admissions required.
It was not yet known how the rainout would affect either team's pitching plans. Right-hander Dakota Hudson (0-3, 4.15 ERA) was scheduled to start for the Rockies on Friday against Mariners starter Emerson Hancock (1-2, 7.98 ERA).
The postponement is the Mariners' first since July 12, 2022, at Washington D.C.
