The number-one recruit in the country, Duke freshmen Marvin Bagley, took a freakish injury in the first half of his team’s game against Michigan State tonight. As Bagley went up for a rebound on a Spartan shot, teammate Javin DeLaurier caught him in his right eye with some force.

Bagley stayed down for over a minute before heading back to the locker room. While he stayed on the court and received help, Duke’s managers forgot that overhead camera angles exist.

Update (8:24 ET): ESPN’s Maria Taylor reported at halftime that Bagley will not return to the game. However, he is back on the Duke bench.
