Scott was named the starter for Wednesday's game against the host Washington Nationals.
Festa, 31, signed a minor league deal on May 20 and had a 1-0 record and 1.76 ERA in 15 1/3 innings over 11 appearances at Syracuse. He had one outing with the Mets and was charged with the 10-5 loss to the Houston Astros on Sunday. He gave up five runs (four earned) in one inning.
Selected in the seventh round of the 2016 MLB Draft by the Seattle Mariners, he has a career record of 2-3 with a 4.66 ERA and two saves in 90 games (one start). He missed all of the 2020 and 2021 major league seasons because of Tommy John surgery.
Scott, 25, made his MLB debut on May 4 against the Tampa Bay Rays. In five starts, he was 0-2 with a 3.90 ERA over 27 2/3 innings before being sent back to Syracuse.
