Minnesota United bring back M Aziel Jackson on loan

Minnesota United brought back midfielder Aziel Jackson on a loan spell, the team announced Thursday.

The 24-year-old American arrives from Polish top-flight side Jagiellonia Bialystok for the rest of the 2026 season.

The deal includes a purchase option for Jackson, who originally signed a homegrown deal with Minnesota in April 2021.

"We welcome Aziel back to Minnesota United. He's a talented player who gives us another option in attack as we enter an important stretch of the season," chief soccer officer and sporting director Khaled El-Ahmad said. "His familiarity with the league, the club and Cameron (Knowles, Minnesota head coach) should help him settle in quickly, and we look forward to his contributions."

Jackson played for the Vancouver Whitecaps on loan earlier this season, recording one goal and three assists in 14 matches across all competitions. He previously played for the Columbus Crew (2024-25) and St. Louis City (2023-24).

"I'm excited to be back with Minnesota United," Jackson said. "I'm really happy to be a part of this great organization and team again. The city and fans have always had a special place in my heart. I'm happy to be back home, go Loons!"
