MLB Best Bets for Saturday, June 7: Top Picks and Totals to Target
Happy June and welcome to your Saturday ‘MLB Best Bets’ list. It’s a busy day on baseball diamonds across the country, giving us plenty of options for our viewing and betting pleasure. Games begin at 1:10 p.m. EDT with the Cubs vs. Tigers and wrap up with the Orioles vs. Athletics at 10:05 p.m. EDT.
It’s going to be a great day, sports fans. Let’s go over my best MLB bets for Saturday, June 7. (Odds via FanDuel.)
Houston Astros (-1.5) vs. Cleveland Guardians (+114), O/U 7
Neither team has been hitting well over the past week. Cleveland’s been slightly better at the plate, but both clubs have scored the same number of runs over their last six games (19).
Both starting pitchers have had one start this month — neither allowed an earned run. In five starts last month, Houston’s Hunter Brown allowed 10 earned runs, while Cleveland’s Gavin Williams allowed nine.
Yeah, we’re not going to see a lot of offense in this one.

San Diego Padres (-1.5) vs. Milwaukee Brewers (-116), O/U 8.5
The Brewers have been swinging the bats well lately, but that may not last when they face Stephen Kolek. The Padres righty has a solid 3.47 ERA overall, but he's been lights-out on the road with a 1.04 ERA.
Meanwhile, Brewers starter Jose Quintana has put up a solid 2.77 ERA in seven starts, but he’s been rough at home (1-1, 5.91 ERA).
Kolek has given up just three runs in 26 innings of work away from home — he'll keep the Brewers’ bats from doing too much damage. San Diego’s lineup has also been cold, scoring just 19 runs over their last seven games.

Baltimore Orioles (-1.5) vs. Oakland Athletics (+102), O/U 11
If you watched the Orioles early in the season, you saw Charlie Morton get rocked a few times. But since May, he’s been excellent — posting a 2.42 ERA and holding hitters to a .194 average over the last 30 days.
A’s starter Luis Severino has been inconsistent. He gave up eight runs in his last start, but just three combined in his three starts before that. Unfortunately for Oakland, Severino has been dreadful at home (0-5, 6.99 ERA, .284 OBA).
Baltimore hasn’t been great at the plate lately (.230 average over the past week), so I’m not worried about them torching Severino. The A’s have been hitting well, but Morton’s current form should keep their lineup in check.
