Best MLB plays Monday October 13th
- Blue Jays F5 -0.5 (+108) vs. Mariners
- Trey Yesavage Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-107)
- Dodgers F5 -0.5 (-114) at Brewers
Blue Jays F5 -0.5 vs. Mariners (+108 at FanDuel)
George Springer hit a home run on the first pitch in the bottom of the first inning to give Toronto a 1-0 lead in Sunday’s Game 1 of the ALCS. Unfortunately, the Jays racked up only one more hit the rest of the game in a 3-1 loss to the Mariners.
Toronto looks to avoid an 0-2 hole tonight before heading west to Seattle for Wednesday's Game 3. Logan Gilbert gets the start for the M’s tonight after pitching in relief in the dramatic extra-innings victory in Game 5 of the ALCS against Detroit on Saturday.
Gilbert was tremendous in his last start against the Tigers in Game 3 of the last round, but is flipped to an underdog tonight. Seattle led through five innings in two of his final nine road starts prior to his victory at Detroit last Tuesday.
The Jays have led through five innings in four of five postseason games, while Seattle has scored one run or less in the opening five innings in four of six playoff contests.

Trey Yesavage Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-107 at DraftKings)
The Mariners have struck out at least six times against opposing starting pitchers in four of six playoff games.
Toronto sends out its rookie right-hander in this pivotal Game 2 tonight as Yesavage put together a memorable postseason debut.
Yesavage struck out 11 batters in 5.1 scoreless innings, while not giving up a single hit in Game 2 of the ALDS against the Yankees.
He faces a Seattle lineup that owns three hitters who rank in the top-30 of whiff rate (Eugenio Suarez, Cal Raleigh, and Randy Arozarena).
In four starts this season, Yesavage has a whiff rate of 35.4%, which would be the best in MLB but he doesn’t qualify due to the amount of innings he has pitched.

Dodgers F5 -0.5 at Brewers (-114 at FanDuel)
The Dodgers knocked off the Phillies in dramatic fashion in the NLDS to advance to the NLCS for the seventh time in 10 seasons.
Los Angeles dropped all six matchups with Milwaukee this season, but the Brewers didn’t face Blake Snell. The two-time Cy Young winner has been masterful in his pair of postseason starts, allowing five hits and striking out 18 batters.
Milwaukee captured three home victories in the NLDS against Chicago, as the Brewers send Quinn Priester to the mound tonight. Priester struck out 10 batters when he faced the Dodgers in July, but got roughed up against the Cubs in his lone start of the NLDS.
Snell has pitched at an elite level this postseason and should be able to control this Milwaukee lineup for the opening five innings in the NLCS opener.
