Montreal's Kori Cheverie, Ottawa's Carla MacLeod and Boston's Kris Sparre were named finalists Friday for the 2026 PWHL Coach of the Year award.

The award is presented to the coach whose contributions most impacted their team's on-ice success throughout the regular season. A selection committee chose the finalists and the winner will be announced on June 16 in Detroit.

Cheverie led the Victoire to a first-place finish with a league-record 22 wins (16 in regulation) and a PWHL-best .844 winning percentage as the home team. MacLeod's Charge topped the league with five wins when trailing after the second period. Sparre guided the vastly improved Fleet to six more wins and 18 more points than the previous season.

All three of their teams made the playoffs. Montreal defeated Ottawa 3-1 in the best-of-five series to win the PWHL Walter Cup championship.

Cheverie won the award last season over finalists MacLeod and Toronto's Troy Ryan.
