A 20-year-old Binghamton University basketball player has been booted off the team after being charged with shoplifting from an incident on October 26. 20-year-old Malik Alvin was confronted by Wal-Mart security after he attempted to abscond with 36 condoms shoved down his pants. Alvin (Al-viiiin!) attempted to elude security, but knocked a 66-year-old female customer over during his failed escape. Slap on a simple assault charge to the rap sheet. Alvin, originally a playground legend from Philly, transferred to from Chipola Junior College in Florida, was lauded as a great addition for his speed and poised to be an impact player for the new look Bearcats. Remember it was just this past summer when Eastern Kentucky special teams player David Walker was arraigned on douche-stealing charges and for running over a 69-year-old woman during his getaway attempt. For whatever reason, both of these men ended up trying to escape from Wal-Mart carrying embarrassing items and knocking over old women on their way out the door. Maybe it's part of some gang initiation. The one bright side about all this for Alvin? The 36 condoms he shoved down his pants were Trojan Magnums. Holla.
