MOUZ, Aurora Gaming, HEROIC, Team Spirit reach BLAST Slam IV quarters

Jordan Woodruff MOUZ, Aurora Gaming, HEROIC and Team Spirit won their Play-In matches on Sunday and advanced to the quarterfinals at the Dota 2 event BLAST Slam IV.
Team Liquid and BetBoom Team won their Last Chance Playoff matches before being eliminated in the Play-In round.
In the $1 million Dota 2 tournament, the quarterfinals begin Nov. 6 and the matches are best-of-three, as are the semifinals on Nov. 8. The grand final is a best-of-five and will take place Nov. 9. Tundra Esports and Team Falcons, who secured semifinal spots through the Group Stage on Saturday, will face the quarterfinal winners.
The championship squad will receive $300,000 as prize money, in addition to $100,000 in team earnings. In total, $750,000 will be up for grabs in prize money with an additional $250,000 in team earnings.
MOUZ and HEROIC swept their matches on Sunday, while Aurora Gaming and Team Spirit both won 2-1.
MOUZ opened with a 37-minute win on green against Team Aureus then closed it out on red with a 44-minute victory. Malaysia's Yeik "MidOne" Nai Zheng led the way with a combined 22-2-27 kill-death-assist ratio.
HEROIC prevailed in 34 minutes on red against Team Liquid, then had to work more than twice as long to win the match -- 70 minutes -- on green. Yuma "Yuma" Langlet, Nicaraguan/Belgian/German player, paced HEROIC with a combined 27-4-29 K-D-A ratio.
Facing Natus Vincere, Aurora Gaming dropped the opener in 33 minutes on green, then rebounded with a 74-minute triumph on red and sealed the win on green in 58 minutes. Rafli "Mikoto" Fathur Rahman of Indonesia posted a combined 25-14-40 K-D-A ratio to help lead Aurora Gaming.
Team Spirit took the lead over BetBoom Team by prevailing in 29 minutes on red, then after losing in 48 minutes on red, Team Spirit clinched the win in 31 minutes on red. Denis "Larl" Sigitov of Russia played a key role in the win with a combined K-D-A-ratio of 18-9-31.
In the Last Chance Playoffs, BetBoom Team swept Execration and Team Liquid took down Yakult Brothers 2-1.
BetBoom won in 42 minutes on green and 26 minutes on red, led by Russia's Matvey "MieRo" Vasyunin with a combined K-D-A ratio of 20-4-20.
Team Liquid took the first game (39 minutes on red) and third game (31 minutes on green), sandwiched around a 49-minute loss on red. Michael "miCKe" Vu of Sweden contributed to the win with a 16-12-26 K-D-A ratio.
