NBA Halloween Betting Picks: Celtics, Bulls, and Grizzlies Highlight Tonight’s Best Bets
As kids, we wanted the best candy in the world on Halloween.
Now, as adults… we still want the best candy on Halloween, but we also want the best NBA bets for the night so that we can win money and buy our own candy rather than wear a silly costume and ask the neighbors for handouts.
The following are our best treats — I mean bets — for Halloween’s eight-game NBA slate.
Philadelphia 76ers vs. Boston Celtics
Philadelphia comes into this game at 4-0 and hopes to remain undefeated. With Tyrese Maxey leading the team and the NBA in scoring with 37.3 points per game, the 76ers are averaging 129.3 ppg while holding opponents to 123.8 ppg (25th in the league).
Boston’s had a harder start to the season, losing three right out of the gate, including the season opener vs. the 76ers, before rebounding to win their last two. They aren’t scoring as much as Philly (114.3 ppg), but they are giving up just 107.2 ppg (second-best mark in the NBA).
Our Pick: Celtics ML +114 (FanDuel)
Philly needed a massive comeback in the fourth quarter for a one-point win in the opener. Three of their wins have come by five points or less. Boston has gotten better since the opener, but I can’t say the same about the 76ers. It will be another tight game, but look for the Celtics to pull this one out.

New York Knicks vs. Chicago Bulls
Expectations are higher for the Knicks because they are considered one of the more talented and deep teams in the league; Chicago — not so much. But the Bulls have the hot hand at the moment and home court advantage against a New York team that is not playing its best on the road.
Chicago is clicking on the offensive end (119.8 ppg) while the Knicks are averaging 110.5 ppg (fourth lowest in the league). With the Bulls’ defense clamping down on New York, the Bulls will keep this one close if not win outright.
Our Pick: Bulls +4.5 at -114 (DraftKings)

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Memphis Grizzlies
With LeBron James still out and Luka Doncic sitting out with a finger injury, the Lakers needed someone to step up — and Austin Reeves has done just that with 51, 41, and 28 points in the last three games (2-1). Doncic is still listed as questionable, so it’s unclear if he’ll play.
Memphis (3-2) enters the game fresh off a road win over the Suns, 114-113, but went 1-1 on a short road trip, dropping one on Monday to the Warriors 131-118. Consistency has been an early issue on both ends of the court.
Our Pick: Grizzlies ML at -142 (DraftKings)
As long as Luka is out, take Memphis to win; the Grizzlies can handle Austin Reeves. But if Doncic can play, go with the Lakers to win outright.
