The teams with the longest respective winning and losing streaks in the NBA play on Saturday, although not against one another.

Been there, done that.

It interestingly took overtime, but the Detroit Pistons edged the Washington Wizards on Nov. 10 for consecutive victory No. 7 of their current 11-game tear. For Washington, it marked the ninth straight defeat in a slog that now stands at unlucky 13. Of course, any number ahead of a hyphen and “game losing streak” is regrettable once it reaches three, right?

May Saturday's seven-game slate treat you better than life has the Wizards lately.

DETROIT PISTONS AT MILWAUKEE BUCKS, 8 P.M. ET

Detroit heads to Fiserv Forum to face Milwaukee, bringing with it an 11-game winning streak that matches its longest since the 2007-08 season. Milwaukee carries its own run — a 13-game streak versus Detroit, the Bucks’ longest active winning streak against any opponent. “Something’s Gotta Give” isn’t merely a romcom jewel starring Jack Nicholson and the late Diane Keaton, folks.

While Milwaukee has lost a season-high three straight and continues navigating life without Giannis Antetokounmpo (left adductor strain), Bobby Portis Jr. helped fill the void Thursday, contributing a season-high 19 points and eight rebounds in his first start. Prized offseason addition Myles Turner notched his first double-double with the Bucks (14 points, 11 rebounds) in that overtime loss to Philadelphia.

Their frontcourt is beginning to jell, but the Bucks still must contend with Pistons star Cade Cunningham, the first player in franchise history with at least 25 points and 10 assists in five straight games. Idle since Tuesday, Detroit is rested and ready to extend one streak while stopping another.

Pistons -9 (-106 with FanDuel).

WASHINGTON WIZARDS AT CHICAGO BULLS, 8 P.M. ET

In Chicago, the Wizards visit the Bulls. Twenty-eight seasons removed from their most recent title, the Bulls still ably rest on their 1990s laurels.

The organization will go beyond fans’ frequent old-school apparel at halftime Saturday, formally celebrating various members of its dynasty with a ring of honor ceremony. Festivities are set to include Bill Cartwright, Horace Grant, John Paxson and broadcaster Neil Funk. The Wizards represent as close of a homecoming-esque opponent as a team might get on nostalgia night. They’ve dropped 13 in a row and are coming off Friday’s 140-110 loss at Toronto.

While Chicago also got whupped Friday, trailing by as many as 41 in a 143-107 dud against Miami, the Bulls are anticipating the home debut of sparkplug guard Coby White. Chicago resets and fills the United Center with good vibes on either side of a waltz down Memory Lane. By the way, there’s no line for how many times the honora-Bulls will bemoan today’s concept of “injury management.”

Bulls -12.5 (-115 with BetMGM).

SACRAMENTO KINGS AT DENVER NUGGETS, 10 P.M. ET

The night wraps with Sacramento visiting Denver. An eight-game losing streak may not be as discouraging as one that’s 13 games long, but it still ranks as the second-longest skid in the league. Sacramento would know, unfortunately.

What’s worse is that the Kings haven’t cracked triple digits in their past two defeats, managing just 96 points in Thursday’s 41-point loss in Memphis. With Domantas Sabonis out with a partially torn left meniscus, defending the middle won’t come easy for a while.

Don’t look now, but here comes Nikola Jokic — albeit one who has played three games in five days, the latest being Friday’s thrilling win in Houston.

Under 236.5 (-110 with FanDuel).
