Mandatory Credit: Petre Thomas-Imagn Images Russell Westbrook scored 25 points and Precious Achiuwa added 22 points and 12 rebounds as the Sacramento Kings earned a 123-114 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night to snap a franchise-record 16-game losing streak.
The Kings, who won on the road for only the fourth time in 30 games, won for the first time since Jan. 16.
DeMar DeRozan finished with 19 points for Detroit, as did Daeqwon Plowden, who had 10 in the fourth quarter when Sacramento pulled ahead. Maxime Raynaud made his presence felt with 10 points and a game-high 13 boards.
Javon Small recorded 21 points, nine assists and six rebounds, but his efforts weren't enough for the Grizzlies to avoid their sixth defeat in seven games. Olivier-Maxence Prosper put up 17 points, and GG Jackson scored 16.
Spurs 114, Pistons 103
Devin Vassell poured in 28 points, including seven 3-pointers, as visiting San Antonio stretched its winning streak to nine games by cooling off red-hot Detroit and snapping its five-game streak.
Victor Wembanyama made up for a quiet first half by finishing with 21 points, 17 rebounds, six blocks and four assists for the Western Conference's second-place team. Julian Champagnie joined in with 17 points, while Stephon Castle contributed 16 points and 11 assists.
Jalen Duren led the East-leading Pistons with 25 points and 14 rebounds. Cade Cunningham had a very inefficient double-double, as he shot 5 of 26 from the field en route to 16 points and 10 assists.
Rockets 125, Jazz 105
Jabari Smith Jr. drained six 3-pointers and scored a game-high 31 points, Kevin Durant recorded 18 points and a season-high 12 assists and Tari Eason chipped in 11 points and 10 rebounds as Houston rolled to a victory over visiting Utah.
Amen Thompson added 20 points on 8-for-9 shooting for the Rockets while Alperen Sengun flirted with a triple-double (16 points, nine rebounds and nine assists). Reed Sheppard tallied 15 points on five 3-pointers off the bench.
Utah received strong performances from Lauri Markkanen (29 points) and Brice Sensabaugh (26 points and four threes). The Jazz converted 27 Rockets turnovers into 34 points, but that didn't prevent them from losing their third straight game.
