• Dallas is taking knees now, and the talk of an Indy undefeated season can now be put to bed. Dallas wins 24-21, and I doubt that the Colts really mind that much. Not that they ever want to lose, but at least they won't have to deal with those questions the rest of the year. Peyton Manning had a pretty bad day, at least by Peyton Manning standards... 20-of-39, 254 yards, with 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions Impressive win for Dallas, though it sort of makes me sad that the '72 Dolphins will be celebrating and drinking champagne tonight... I hope it the alcohol reacts poorly with their Levitra.
• The 49ers tried their hardest to blow the game against the Seahawks. Joe Nedney had a 27-yard field goal attempt with 32 seconds to play, but missed it, which actually gave the 'Hawks a little bit of life. But 83 yards in 32 seconds, as it turns out, was a little too much to ask of Seneca Wallace. Frank Gore, with just seven more carries, managed 175 yards more than Shaun Alexander in Shaun's return. The 49ers are a .500 team. Odd. Niners hold on, 20-14.
• The Buzzsaw is back in the W column, holding on to beat the Lions by a score of 17-10. They were even taking knees at the end of the game, something that had to be really confusing for them. Dennis Green probably had to explain to them how to do it right before they took the field. Actually, he probably doesn't remember it, either. Edgerrin James ran for 96 yards and Matt Leinart threw for 233.
• Just because I should probably mention it somewhere, Jimmie Johnson won the NEXTEL Cup. A hearty congratulations to him.
