NFL Week Five, Update #4
This image was lost some time after publication. • This Cowboys/Eagles game isn't going to be over for a while... and it's certainly a contest worth watching, if you decided earlier that you didn't want to take part in the TO nonsense. It's not that bad... and it should be a hell of a finish.
• Matt Leinart had quite a successful debut... finishing 22-of-35 for 253 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 1 interception. Unfortunately, Neil Rackers can't have any coffee, because he can't close. He missed a 51-yarder at the buzzer, and made the efforts of Leinart all for naught. The loss hurts, but... hey, Leinart looked good. When you root for the Cardinals, it's the little victories that count. 23-20, Chiefs.
• Poor Andrew Walters suffered the indignity of being benched in favor of Marques Tuiasosopo... and it didn't even do anything to help them. Of course, you probably already knew that. Taking full advantage of today's opponent, 49ers defensive back Walt Harris had a career day with 3 interceptions. 49ers win, 34-20.
• Jags 41, Jets 0. And Byron Leftwich played the whole game. Jack Del Rio must have something against Eric Mangini... perhaps they both feel that they are the most handsome young coach in the league.
