NFL Week Thirteen, Update #1
• Artose Pinner is the best player in the NFL today. With Chester Taylor out with a rib problem, Pinner's stepped in and racked up 98 yards and 2 touchdowns. Brad Johnson also has a rushing touchdown, which isn't something I thought was in the Bad Johnson repertoire. He's also 10-of-15 for 124 yards, and I feel a little silly about spending all week demanding that he get benched. Kevin Jones, meanwhile, has 3 carries for -12 yards. The Vikings confuse me. Minnesota's up, 20-10.
• What has two thumbs and beats Redskin ass? THIS GUY. Jeff Garcia is 6-of-8 for 86 yards and two touchdowns, and well on his way to becoming Philadelphia's favorite son. His first two passes of the day were his worst, but since then... it's the Jeff Garcia show. Jason Campbell has been as terrible as Garcia has been good. He's got two interceptions, and all eight of his completions were coincidences. Eagles lead, 21-6.
• Drew Carter and Plaxico Burress both have beautiful touchdown passes from quarterbacks you wouldn't have thought were capable of throwing them. Eli Manning and Chris Weinke are both currently 8-of-18, but have managed to avoid interceptions. Tiki Barber has 12 carries for 77 yards, and is still going here at the 2:00 warning. It's 10-10.
