NFL Week Thirteen, Update #3
• It's 17-13, Cardinals, and I don't know if it's worth it for either of these teams to try to run the ball again. Shaun Alexander's carried 9 times for 26 yards, and Edgerrin James 11 times for 34 yards... this one might resemble Arena Football in the second half. Both Leinart and Hasselbeck have thrown for over 140 yards, and the star receivers are D.J. Hackett and Bryant Johnson. There is no quit in the buzzsaw.
• Philip Rivers is making the Broncos defense look like Tift County High, pre Devil Walk. At the 2:00 warning, he's 9-of-10 for 168 yards and a touchdown, and the Chargers lead 21-3. They're probably going to score again before the half, too. The Broncos have been selling out to keep LaDainian Tomlinson in check, and he still has 53 yards and a touchdown. He's now one back of Shaun Alexander's NFL record, and the way this one's going, you could see some history in the second half. Oh, and Jay Cutler still kinda sucks.
• It's big play day in Buffalo... they've come up with a 57-yard TD run by Willis McGahee, a 77-yard catch from Lee Evans, and a 59-yard interception return by Nate Clements. Those account for all of their points, and they lead the Jets, 21-10.
