Butler (8-11, 1-7 Big East) led 73-70 in overtime, but UConn scored the next eight points to take a five-point lead. The Huskies led 80-76 following Tarris Reed Jr.'s basket with 20 seconds to play, but Butler made it a two-point game on Telfort's layup with 10.7 seconds remaining.
Telfort led all scorers with 25 points. Finley Bizjack added 17 points, and Andre Screen finished the game with 13 points and nine rebounds.

UConn pulled even on an Alex Karaban jumper with 1:43 left in regulation. That basket capped the second-half scoring.
