Alijah Martin tallied 14 points and Urban Klavzar added 10 points as the Gators (23-3, 10-3 Southeastern Conference) won their fifth straight game.
Led by Martin and Klavzar, Florida's bench outscored Oklahoma's 28-14.
Florida's veteran backcourt dominated the pace of play. The Gators committed just six turnovers and outscored the Sooners 18-8 off giveaways.
Florida outshot Oklahoma 45.2 percent to 38.8 percent from the floor, hitting 12 of 32 3-point attempts (37.5 percent) compared to a 7-for-20 performance from deep (35 percent) for the Sooners.
Jeremiah Fears produced 22 points and five rebounds to lead the Sooners (16-10, 3-10), who have lost five straight games and 10 of their past 13 after a 13-0 start.
Jalon Moore contributed 11 points for Oklahoma, which is in the midst of a brutal stretch in the rugged SEC, playing 10 of 11 games against teams that are currently ranked.
With the Gators missing their first five shots of the contest, the Sooners went up 6-3 when Duke Miles scored on a driving layup with 16:39 left in the first half.
However, for the rest of the period, Fears was the only Sooner who scored from the floor.
Florida went on an early 12-2 run that Clayton started and finished with 3-pointers as the Gators took the lead for good and built a 15-8 cushion.
Later in the first half, Florida hit five triples in a span of 3:56 to open up a 37-17 advantage. Richard had two of those threes.
To close the half, Klavzar took it all the way, eluding traffic on a fastbreak layup with one second left, giving the Gators a 46-24 lead at the break.
The Sooners had a 7-0 run early in the second half, but Florida took control once again when Martin drained a 3-pointer to make it 51-31.
Florida's lead reached 29 at its peak.
