NRG defeat Fnatic, claim Valorant Champions 2025 title

NRG recorded a 3-2 victory over Fnatic on Sunday in Paris to win the Valorant Champions 2025 title and a $1 million first prize.

Fnatic claimed $400,000 as the runner-up in the tournament.

NRG's Brock "brawk" Somerhalder of the United States was named the MVP of the playoffs.

NRG jumped out to a 2-0 lead with victories on Corrode (13-3) and Lotus (13-6) before Fnatic stormed back with wins on Abyss (15-13 in overtime) and Ascent (13-8) to force a decisive fifth game. However, NRG rebounded for a 13-5 win on Sunset to clinch the title.

The 16-team event began Sept. 12 with group play. Eight teams advanced to the double-elimination playoffs, where all matches were best-of-three until the best-of-five lower-bracket final and grand final.
