Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon will miss more than a month with a right hamstring strain, the team announced Sunday.

He will be re-evaluated in four to six weeks with what ESPN reported is a Grade 2 hamstring strain.

Gordon is third on the team in scoring, averaging a career-high 18.8 points per game, and is shooting a career-best 44.4% from 3-point territory.

The 30-year-old played just three minutes Friday night in Denver's 112-109 win over the Houston Rockets.

In 13 games this season, he also is averaging 5.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists for the Nuggets, who have the second-best record in the Western Conference at 12-4.

He is in his 12th NBA season after being picked fourth overall by the Orlando Magic in 2014. He was traded to Denver halfway through the 2020-21 season.

Gordon has played 733 career games (635 starts) with averages of 13.6 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists.

His is the second longer-term injury to a key player for the Nuggets.

Guard Christian Braun hasn't played since a Nov. 12 win over the Los Angeles Clippers. The 24-year-old is sidelined with a left-ankle sprain and isn't expected to be evaluated again for about five weeks.

Braun is averaging 11.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 29.5 minutes in 11 games.
