Oregon QB Marcus Mariota Catches Trick Play Touchdown
Oregon's quarterback Marcus Mariota is a leading Heisman candidate because he can throw better than most college quarterbacks and run better than all of them. Now we can add receiving to that list, as he hauled in a 26-yard touchdown to put the Ducks up 7–3 on Arizona Thursday night. Mariota pitched to running back Royce Freeman before running around the end uncovered, and caught the ball ten yards outside of the end zone. Perhaps the most impressive part of the play happened after the catch, when Mariota absolutely trucked Arizona cornerback Jarvis McCall Jr.
