PARIVISION and Team Falcons won their upper-bracket semifinal matches in the playoff stage at The International 2025 on Friday in Hamburg, Germany.

PARAVISION swept Xtreme Gaming 2-0 and Falcons rallied past BetBoom Team 2-1 to reach Saturday's upper-bracket final. The winner of that match will advance to Sunday's grand final against the winner of the lower-bracket final.

Meanwhile, HEROIC and Nigma Galaxy posted 2-0 sweeps on Friday to advance to the lower-bracket quarterfinals.

The prestigious Dota 2 event began with 16 teams -- eight invitees and eight teams from regional qualifiers -- but that number was cut in half ahead of the double-elimination playoffs, which run through Sunday.

All playoff matches are best-of-three until the best-of-five grand final on Sunday. The tournament's base prize pool is worth $1.6 million, and it will grow as 30 percent of all supporter bundle sales will be added to the pot. The current pool is just more than $2.6 million.

On Friday, PARAVISION won in 31 minutes and 53 minutes on red against Xtreme. Alan "Satanic" Gallyamov of Russia carried PARIVISION, posting a 7.0-1.5-5.5 average K-D-A.

BetBoom Team opened with a 42-minute win on red against Team Falcons, which rebounded with back-to-back victories on red in 30 minutes and 37 minutes. Russia's Stanislav "Malr1ne" Potorak racked up an 8.0/1.3/9.3 average K-D-A.

HEROIC made quick work of Tundra Esports in Round 1 of the lower bracket with consecutive wins on green in 34 minutes and 46 minutes. Joao Gabriel "4nalog" Giannini Santos of Brazil's 10.0/2.5/16.0 average K-D-A paced Heroic.

Nigma Galaxy also cruised into the lower-bracket quarterfinals with a 34-minute triumph on red and a 30-minute victory on green against Team Tidebound. Lebanon's Tony "No!ob" Assaf led the way for Nigma with a 7.0/1.5/17.5 average K-D-A.

The tournament continues Saturday with four matches:

-- PARIVISION vs. Team Falcons (upper-bracket final)

-- BetBoom Team vs. HEROIC (lower-bracket quarterfinals)

-- Xtreme Gaming vs. Nigma Galaxy (lower-bracket quarterfinals)

-- TBD vs. TBD (lower-bracket final)
