Parkinson: Wrexham will do 'everything' to keep G Arthur Okonkwo
Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson said the club will do everything in its power to retain Arsenal goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo.
Okonkwo spent last season on loan with Wrexham, serving as the primary goalkeeper as the club secured a promotion to League One.
However, the 22-year-old is expected to attract significant interest when his contract expires this summer.
"Obviously we're keen to keep Arthur and we're working on that," Parkinson told BBC Sport Wales. "It could take time but there's one thing for sure, we'll give it everything that we've got to keep Arthur at the club."
Okonkwo made 40 appearances for Wrexham across all competitions. The team has retained fellow goalkeeper Mark Howard while releasing Rob Lainton. Luke McNicholas and Liam Hall are also on the first team roster.
"Myself and the staff will be sitting down and looking at the squad and looking at the players available and targeting the players we feel can help us next year," Parkinson said.
