The Philadelphia Phillies acquired Daniel Robert from the Texas Rangers on Thursday in exchange for fellow right-hander Enrique Segura.

The Phillies optioned Robert, who was designated for assignment Monday by Texas, to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Robert, 30, made four relief appearances for the Rangers in 2024, going 1-0 with a 3.18 ERA in 5 2/3 innings.

Robert had two saves and a 1.54 ERA in 10 relief appearances this season at Triple-A Round Rock.

Segura, 20, signed with the Phillies out of the Dominican Republic in 2022 and has not pitched above the Class A level.
